Howard Park is located on the near east side of downtown South Bend. The roughly 42 acre park is situated along the St. Joseph River. It is a very popular destination for locals and tourists in South Bend. The large modern playground makes it a great place for kids.
The East Bank trail runs through the park. There are also great views of downtown South Bend from the park. Howard Park Public House is a fantastic restaurant in the park that also has an outdoor patio. The surrounding neighborhood also has plenty more dining options.
